1. Zerothreetwo Conversations: Interviews with the Creative Class
Hosted by Zerothreetwo Editor-in-Chief Carlo Villarica, this is a podcast by Cebuano creatives, for Cebuanos and other creatives. Zerothreetwo invites fellow creatives like Cebuana actress Chai Fonacier and game streamer Nevz to their show and asks them about their lifestyle, how they work, and everything else!
An episode you should check from the podcast is the “The Fast Food Era of Music with Trevor Sederiosa”, where Villarica and rising R&B and hip-hop artist Trevor Sederiosa (known by his stage name TREV) discuss the differences between the generation of music they grew up in, the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on music artists, and the “fast food era of music” in the streaming.

With her degree in Psychology, Cebu-based Monica Tawide hosts a podcast that tackles trending topics on pop culture and society and analyzes them from a Psychologist’s perspective. Her podcast is entirely visual as she uploads videos of her podcast episodes on her YouTube channel.
In one of the episodes titled “FILIPINO RESILIENCY: is it problematic?”, Tawide discusses with her guest and best friend about what makes glorifying “Filipino resilience” so problematic. Kasinatian, Kasayuran, Kasaysayan, Kamatuoran is a podcast that discusses the current topics and issues in Philippine politics from the perspective of Cebuanos. They discuss a lot of topics that range from philosophy to the future of Philippine media. One of their episodes, “Religion and Globalization”, tackles the role of religion in the “hyper-connected” age of globalization. 4. MIC STAND
Even one of the student political parties of the University of San Carlos (USC) has its own podcast! This podcast from the Student Alliance for Nationalism and Democracy, known as STAND, attempts to shed light on issues surrounding the university in relation to current events.
In an episode titled “MIC STAND with guest teacher”, STAND invited Grace Socorro Larcena-Yomo who is a veteran accountancy professor in the university. They discussed the issues affecting students and teachers in the university during the COVID-19 pandemic and the challenges that arise from online classes.

5. Litok Podcast
The Litok Podcast is a live podcast created by the students of the Literary and Cultural Studies of the University of San Carlos under their organization, “Pulong sa mga Alagad sa Obra”, or PALABRA for short. The podcast tackles various trending topics such as cancel culture and halloween stories as students give their insights from their perspective as literary and cultural studies students.
In their recent episode titled “Are You Smarter than a National Hero?”, literary and cultural studies invited communications and English language students in a fun debate as they attempted to outsmart the Philippine national heroes, roleplayed by literary and cultural studies students, with their knowledge and insights on the country’s culture and history. This was a fundraiser episode as monetary prizes and donations made during the livestream were donated to the victims of Typhoon Ulysses.

6. Basabalak Kanunay
Basabalak Kanunay, a Bisaya statement which translates to “always reading poems”, is a short-form spoken poetry podcast hosted by Cindy Velasquez, a veteran Cebuano poet and a professor of literary studies at the University of San Carlos. In one of the episodes titled “Episode 13 I Jan Angelique Dalisay I Ugma”, Velasquez invited Cebuana poet Jane Angelique Dalisay to perform her Bisaya poem titled “Ugma”, which speaks about “surreal, the abused, and sometimes, the defeated”.

7. The Carolinian Poet
Cindy Velasquez hosts another short-form spoken poetry podcast called “The Carolinian Poet”. Similar to Basabalak Kanunay, this podcast exclusively highlights poetry works from the students, faculty, and employees of the University of San Carlos, collectively known as the Carolinians. It is a platform where Carolinians share their literary works in each episode. An episode titled “Episode 17 I Sievney Quidet I Untitled, August 2018” sees Carolinian graduate Sievney Quidet performing a semi-autobiographical poetry (ironically) titled “Untitled, August 2018” about a character’s views of their life, society, poetry as well as current events of the time.

Yudi Santillan, who is a Carolinian alumnus from Bohol City, hosts his own short-form spoken word poetry podcast named after his own pseudonym. Santillan’s huge passion for poetry shows in his spoken word performance.
Every episode contains a poetry piece he performs, delving into a particular topic or theme such as romance, failed friendships and life in general. In one episode titled “Myths and Pains”, Santillan performs a spoken poetry piece that tackles the themes of the paranormal and supernatural as he invites the listeners to “unravel” the stories that keep us awake at night.
